Scroll Reverser is small, simple and efficient and works with all mice and trackpads with a scroll wheel or scroll gesture support, including MacBook trackpads, Magic Trackpad, Magic Mouse, and Mighty Mouse. Ive been working on an Apple since 2007 and Ive since become very used to the Natural Scrolling that Mac has in the OS, even though most people call it.
Launch the applet using the Dash, and toggle Natural Scrolling using the Application Indicator present in the top panel.

‘Natural Scrolling’ can be installed in Ubuntu 11.04 and 11.10 from its own PPA: –Īdd ‘ ppa:zedtux/naturalscrolling‘ to your Software Sources, update, then install the ‘naturalscrolling’ package from the Ubuntu Software Centre. If you can’t quite get your head around it the following video does an excellent job of showing it off: – Scroll Reverser is a free Mac app that reverses the direction of scrolling, with independent settings for trackpads and mice. Reverse Scrolling is likely better demonstrated than explained. If you dual boot between 10.7 and 10.6 and you’re used to the Lion inverse scrolling, or you just prefer the way the iPad and iPhone scroll through documents and webpages, this app is what you’re looking for. ‘ Natural Scrolling‘ by Charalampos brings reverse scrolling to Ubuntu. I f you’ve ever used a touchscreen smartphone you’ll already be familiar with how this works: you drag down to scroll up you drag up to scroll down. OS X Lion introduced natural/reverse scrolling where by “content tracks finger movement”.
